Anyone Can Create Space Art :D

Welcome to SpacesBetween!

Feel free to browse our galleries, check out our wonderful collection of space art. (And don't forget to read the Group info below on this page)

If you're a fellow space artist, but aren't in the group and want to be (pstt: you want to be ;) ) don't hesitate to hit that "join" button. After that you can instantly begin submitting art to the group. We love having new members, and you are always welcome!

Even if you aren't all that space art inclined, you can always head over to our tutorial folder and start learning the tricks and techniques that many of our great artists use. Anything from how to create a planet in Photoshop, to how to make a nebula. You can find a lot of useful tutorials and how-to's.

Any of our members are encouraged to not only submit art (which will be voted on by our contributors) but to also contribute blog entries. Once accepted, you can write about whatever tickles your fancy, just so long as it has to do with space. Sometimes when you see a space art you think: That needs a good back story to go with it. Well in the blog section you can :D

Group Info

At Spaces Between we accept any and all art to do with outer space and the cosmos alike. (Anything that does not depict space will sadly not be accepted.)

*Suggestions on space art include but aren't limited to:
Nebula
Planetary bodies
Asteroid fields
Black holes
Comets and other inter stellar objects, &
Stars.

All general incoming submissions should be sent to the "General Submissions" folder.
If you feel your art work is of higher quality than most of the general submissions, than please submit into the "Exceptional" folder.
The Featured folder is by no means supposed to be submitted to, that folder is reserved for art work that we feel are beyond exceptional and/or that we want to give special attention to. For the general idea, we put art into the Featured folder that we feel highlights our group's best talent :)

New to Spaces Between is the addition of our Tutorials folder. There artists can submit tutorials that they have made to share with the rest of the group and fellow members. If you are struggling to learn a new technique, or just want to get into making space art, our tutorials page makes it easy for all new comers to learn.

I encourage you all to check it out.
You can submit to the tutorials folder, and you can learn from it. It's a win win for everyone :D

Hello again dear members of the group and stuff! :) Today we'll be going over a bit of a different topic: Featured deviations. To sum it up, we haven't filled in that folder in a long, long time, and it would be kind of tough to go through all the submissions since the last piece of artwork was submitted to the Featured folder. So here's what I have in mind: you guys just comment on this journal with links to pieces of your art that you think has what it takes to be Featured, and I'll go over every deviation and hand-pick some that I believe deserves that status!

So now's your time! If you feel like anything of yours deserves more credit than it has right now, COMMENT AWAY!
